Few years ago I went to Jersey to meet a very committed guy called Mark Le Lay who was keen to develop an energy efficiency advisory service for the Channel Islands.  I spent three days with Mark assisting him get to grips with the stuff of energy surveys and meeting some of his clients to determine just how much of a market there might be for his service.  I am pleased to advise that Mark is now well established with a portfolio of clients and he is also working for the Government in Jersey so if you need an Energy Consultant and you live in the Channel Islands follow the link above.

A couple of years ago I was contracted by Dave Armstrong and Mark Hunter to train them in the art of industrial and commercial energy surveys so that they could establish a consultancy in Manchester.  Well our hard work paid off and they now operate a very successful firm called the Carbon Consultancy Company offering a superb service in the North of England - and wider probably knowing these guys - very ambitious, very driven.  Check them out using the link above.

SAOCC.ORG.UK
Scottish Action On Climate Change - it's not all fried Mars Bars up here you know!

"Promoting education on the problem of Global Warming and Climate Change in order to encourage lifestyle changes and practical actions that will help to mitigate the problem"

The Carbon Trust, whose mission is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by working with organisations to reduce carbon emissions and develop commercial low carbon technologies.  I have been working as a Carbon Trust Energy Consultant for some years now and I am 100% behind their mission and their ethic - after all - Government can't achieve it's Carbon Reduction commitments without industry and industry needs help to kick-start the process - so let's get after it.

Avaaz

Avaaz.org is a new global web movement with a simple democratic mission: to close the gap between the world we have, and the world most people everywhere want.  Across the world most people want greater protection for the environment, greater respect for human rights and concerted efforts to end poverty, famine, corruption and war.  Yet globalisation faces a huge democratic deficit as international decisions are shaped by political elites and unaccountable corporations - not the views and values of the worlds people.  'Avaaz' means 'voice' in many Asian, Middle Eastern and Eastern European languages.

Seth Godin - Marketing Guru
In the spirit of Mr. Godin's marketing advice I would like to offer my thanks for some very useful pointers
at least a few of which I hope have been utilised wisely and indeed appropriately.
