Staff Awareness and Energy Management Training

I have provided Energy Management training both in the UK and overseas to businesses keen to develop their in-house energy efficiency programmes.  I was honoured to be asked to provide initial training for engineers working for the Bahrain National Electricity Company and Kuwait Oil Company such that they could work as "in-house" energy consultants - my thanks to IIR Gulf for a wonderfully productive week in Dubai.  Closer to home I have completed several Staff Awareness training exercises for Carbon Trust clients including the Fisheries Research Services (Marine Lab) in Aberdeen and I have also spoken to business groups on behalf of the Carbon Trust at the Business Environment Partnership North East on the subject of "How Small Businesses Can Reduce Energy Waste".  My most recent venture was to Trinidad but as yet - due to low low electricity prices the momentum for energy efficiency has yet to really take off.

Training can be short - anything from a couple of hours, for example an introduction to the basics for specific members of staff - or longer, as much as 3-5 days intensive training covering all aspects of Energy Management and Auditing.  3 days is my preferred format for in-depth training to include a day of on-site visits - nothing like getting your hands dirty!

A typical schedule for a full Energy Management training course is set below - which reflects a new course I am booked to run in Dubai this August (2010).
