Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning

A breath of fresh air for your work place

Does the picture shown below seem familiar?

Imagine all this muck being blown into your office!

It is all too common that we are called in to inspect HVAC systems,  supposedly maintained by  A N Other Ltd.,  to find ineffective ventilation due to poor servicing and maintenance.

Worn drive belts, broken or missing components, clogged filters, bearings worn to failure - all of this costs you money and fails to provide the clean air you require.

The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way.

Rebuilt the Stewart King way!

This is the rebuilt fan unit with new bearings, anti-vibration mountings and sub-frame plus stripped down and re-built motor, new flexible connectors, drive belts etc.

What you are also looking at is a saving to the client of many thousands of pounds given that the alternative - as suggested by their previous maintenance contractor - was a new fan unit and motor! Refurbishment cost the client just 25% of the cost of a replacement unit and a refurbished fan, properly maintained will give this client 10 - 15 years of trouble free service.

McEwens of Perth - Scotland's oldest Department Store

Our Design & Build facility has completed a major contract for McEwens of Perth - the oldest Department Store in Scotland  - creating a unique air conditioning and ventilation system for the first floor retail sales areas.

McEwens, in common with many retailers these days, have recognised the commercial benefits of providing a comfortable shopping environment. Benefits such as greater staff productivity and most important the tendency for customers to linger 'in-store' and perhaps part with a little more of their hard earned money.

In a second phase contract we have also supplied Natural Ventilation 'Wind-Catchers' for McEwens newly developed Watergate site providing fresh air free of charge through existing roof penetrations in an architecturally sympathetic form.

Another success in this area was the complete refurbishment of 4 air handling units at the busiest heliport in the world - Aberdeen Helicopter Terminal facility for Bond Helicopters.

Where our competition wanted Bond to scrap the existing systems (a mere 10 years after first installing them) we advised that rebuilding was the best option.  This was agreed and carried out in 1996 saving the terminal over £30,000.  Since that time a twice yearly maintenance visit has been the only attention required and the units look good to provide at least a further 10 years service.
